Organisational Development (OD) is a specialist field of practice where behavioural science is applied to systems to enhance the effectiveness of interventions that build capacity and capability to achieve our collective goals.  In the NHS, the purpose of OD is to improve the quality and safety of patient care.

The OD Team at MKUH forms part of the wider Workforce Team.  The work we do aims to improve the performance and experience of our workforce by supporting knowledge and career development, and amplifying the humanity and compassion within our organisation, creating a sense of belonging, enabling people to flourish, thrive and have meaning in their work.

The role of the OD Administrator is primarily to provide high quality and effective administration and project support to the Organisational Development team and Head of Department and support the delivery of the OD strategy.  This would include implementing and managing administrative processes for Trust wide staff engagement, development programmes and OD activities and providing project and event management support.

The deliverables of the team can be fast paced with the requirement to turn around high-quality outputs at pace and at scale.  Therefore, the post holder would demonstrate exceptional organisational, communication and administrative skills with the demonstrable ability to prioritise conflicting demands and deadlines and support multiple colleagues within a team.

In return you can expect to work as part of a high performing and supportive team with the flexibility to work in an agile way.   You will gain insight into operational OD practices, as well as experience of working collaboratively across different teams, and gain exposure to stretch opportunities to support your career and continual professional development within an OD/HR context.
